Tsukiji Fish Market

Tsukiji Fish Market, one of the busiest place in Tokyo for local merchants to get the freshest seafood. As always, this place can be easily reached using the Oedo Line. From the station, you just need to turn left and within 10 seconds you are at the gate.

The market has a slightly fishy smell but its usual because the main thing that happens here at 5am in the morning is the tuna auction. Don't get me wrong, the fruits and vegetables are fresh as well. I haven't bought anything from the market yet, but I sure the prices are reasonable as they are directly from the wholesaler.

Surrounding the area, there are good sushi places to dine in and also a line of food stall just outside them market on the right. People line up just to taste the sushi and to try the food around the area. I had the chance to taste the sushi, and it was amazing! Not to mention fresh as well.

Sensoji Temple Japan

One of the oldest temple in Tokyo City, located in the town of Akasuka. To reach here, we had to travel by train for at least 15 minutes on the Oedo Line to Kurame and from the station you could easily walk to the temple around 10 minutes.

The temple has a distinctive combination of Japanese and Chinese architecture. Here people flock in to pray and to offer coins into a donation that is said to grant your blessing or wishes. The Sensoji temple is also lined with a row of small shops selling various Japanese items like fans, kimonos and chopsticks.    Don't try to mess around in this area, security cameras are facing you at every angle.

Entrance to the temple is free of charge, however several areas like the praying section are not allowed to visitors. Photography is recommend here.

Working at The Ritz Carlton Tokyo

Currently,  I am working in the Ritz Carlton Tokyo. My duties are mainly to handle the buffet for breakfast, lunch during the weekdays while brunch on weekends and also to serve the unexpressed wishes of our customers. This hotel is pretty unique because it starts from the 45th floor of the Tokyo Midtown Tower and makes it way up to the top of the building. Each floor offers a different variety of rooms and views of the Tokyo City.

The restaurant where I operate is known as the Tower Grill and Azure45. Here guest mainly come here for the view of the Tokyo City and also the Tokyo Tower. If you get the chance to dine in here at night, it would be very romantic as the restaurant would be slightly dimmed and candles would be lit on your table. This would be an ideal place to celebrate birthdays, valentines or wedding anniversaries.

Dining here is not very expensive, but if you order a certain beverage of wine, champagne or others. Then definitely it would cost you a little over-budget, however coffee/tea/water are all complimentary in the menu.

The Perfect Couples Getaway

Well, I must say traveling around the world is an exciting hobby. However, visiting a new country is not just about its food, cultures, customs and sights. Even accommodation matters as well, because you're staying in a new place where you dine and rest for the night, which creates a need in yourself for comfort and experience in the resort or hotel you live in.

Allow me to present to you one of the perfect couples getaways that I've stayed in. The photos above were taken using my digital and DSLR cameras.

It is known as "The Residence Maldives".

The Residence Maldives is located on the island of Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The entire island is surrounded by beautiful clear water that is filled with a variety of marine life. Definitely an ideal place for diving. The amazing interiors of this resort are all composed of the traditional Maldivian architecture.

But, the best thing of all here is the private villas that contains both a combination of classic and modern style designs. Some of the villas are known as the beachfront and over-water villas gives you the sense of putting your toes in the sand. Some may even provide you the experience of diving of the deck into the clear waters of your own private dive site.

I have to mention that staying here is not cheap nor reasonable. A room may cost up too 900-1300 USD or more. However, you will never forget the best experiences that you and your mate could have ever imagined.
