The chocolate/cheese/medieval excursion was also organized by the Swiss Hotel Management School. As always, it was held during a Saturday and definitely I would participate because I like exploring different parts of a country.
For this trip, I travelled together with the PGD's because not many 3rd years decided to join for this excursion. We left the campus by bus down the normal winding hill and if I'm not mistaken it took around 2 hours to reach the chocolate factory. At the chocolate factory, we ate many free samples, stole some and even bought tons of high quality chocolates at really cheap prices. We really had an enjoyable time there eating and taking photographs.
The second stop would be the cheese factory. It was really boring because there was nothing much to see as the factory was quite small. Thus, we just roamed around the area and taking photographs on railways tracks. Lastly, we stopped by a medieval town just 15 minutes away from the cheese factory. The town was amazing and it reminded me of the stories involving knights and dragons from the books that I read during my childhood.
The town had its own castle with a clock tower but you have to pay so to enter, so why waste money. The panoramic view from the castle and medieval town was really fantastic and acts perfectly as a Facebook cover for your profile. In addition, there is a small church that looks pretty scary but unfortunately it was close that day, but if you get the chance to go in please do.
